Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to suspend its national convention, originally scheduled for Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16, in Ibadan, Oyo State.  Delivering judgment on Friday, November 14, Justice Lifu also directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to supervise, monitor, or recognise the outcome of any convention held without the participation of former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, as a candidate. The court found that Lamido was unfairly denied the opportunity to obtain a nomination form to contest for the partys National Chairmanship, a move deemed contrary to both the PDP Constitution and its internal regulations.  Justice Lifu emphasized that political parties have a duty to provide their members with genuine opportunities to serve, requiring deliberate measures to ensure aspirants can pursue their ambitions. As a result, the court ordered that the PDP convention be put on hold to allow Lamido to obtain the nomination form, mobilize supporters, and conduct his campaign.The post Court halts PDP convention over Lamidos exclusion appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.YOUR POST GOES TO 1000 SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS DAILY FOR FREE TOO !
