“Governor Eno’s Ibom Towers Project Receives Strong Backing from Ex-Lawmaker Umanah”

Plans by the Akwa Ibom State Government to build a 19-storey ultra modern commercial tower to replace the old and dilapidated Governor’s Lodge in Lagos, the nation’s commercial capital, to enable the state play big in Nigeria’s real estate sector has continued to gain the support of critical stakeholders.
Among those in support of the decision to convert the dilapidated asset to the proposed multi-storey Ibom Towers, is the former member of the House of Representatives. and media Consultant to the state Governor, Hon Aniekan Umanah, whose description of the Victoria Island location of the property as prime sits well on the investment.

Calling on the government to discountenance the few dissenting voices against the project, Umanah noted that no worthwhile development effort of government was ever spared the pessimism of naysayers, even when they usually turn round to massively appreciate and patronize them.
He further listed the stiff opposition government developmental Programmes since 1999 has braved including the investment in Econet and Ibom Air, as well as construction of the airport; the Ibom Hotels and Golf Resort, Ibom plaza; the Government house; Ibom Tropicana; stadium; the 21 storey smart building among others.
Hon Umanah urged critics of the project to understand the intention of government at tapping into the ever growing real estate business environment of Lagos, citing the assured return on investment and scaled-up brand visibility for the state as benefits Akwa Ibom cannot refuse.
Drumming support for the Governor’s intention the Hon Umanah called on people of the State to queue behind the ARISE Agenda’s value-driven knack; emphasizing that all of the administration’s decisions are hinged on revenue optimization and job creation.
